Finale to Run Long

Just in from the SciFi Wire:

SPOILERS

Galactica Finale Goes Long
SCI FI Channel will air a special expanded episode of its original series Battlestar Galactica as the March 10 season-two finale, starting at 10 p.m. ET/PT. In the expanded finale cliffhanger, the outcome of the presidential campaign hinges upon a core debate: whether or not to abandon the search for Earth when the Galactica crew discovers a habitable planet. When the election begins to swing in favor of Baltar (James Callis), a man whom Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell) is convinced is a Cylon collaborator, the incumbent president must decide whether or not to take drastic measures for the greater good. The Galactica finale will follow the season finales of SCI FI's other hit original series, Stargate SG-1 at 8 p.m. and Stargate Atlantis at 9 p.m.

Baltar becoming president is Roslin's worst nightmare. A Baltar presidency would be meaningless without Adama's support. Roslin will probably make a deal with
Tom Zarek (Zarek doesn't like Baltar either)to manipulate the election results. Roslin, unlike Adama, can be totally ruthless to get what she wants. If Baltar
wins, the only way he can get total control is by eliminating Adama, Roslin & Tigh (who hates his guts). This explains why Lucy Lawless has been brought in. Debeers is a Cylon and you know
RDM didn't bring "Xena" in to masquerade as a reporter. Also,
I think it will be revealed why Starbuck has that scar on her
stomach and I think one or two
Colonial officers will be revealed
as Cylons: possibly Gaeta, Dee
or Ellen Tigh. Adama should keep
a close eye on Helo and the Chief to be safe.
