Lt. Louanne ''Kat'' Katraine, CAG of the Battlestar Galactica, died in December from an acute case of radiation poisoning suffered while guiding the civilian ship Faru Sadin through a blinding asteroid cluster. Though Kat was only a recurring character in Sci Fi's riveting humans-versus-Cylons drama, her final episode revealed a shocking backstory (the character was actually a former drug runner named Sasha who stole the identity of the deceased Ms. Katraine two days after the Cylon attacks), hauntingly resolved her long-standing rivalry with Capt. Kara ''Starbuck'' Thrace, and ultimately offered her redemption through an act of selfless heroism. (Yeah, we reached for the Kleenex.)
I'm surprised they didn't have anything for Mrs. Tigh as well.
