Review from TV Addict

This in from TV Addict:

Battlestar Galactica: Holy Frack!

Watching last nights return of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, two thoughts were running through my mind. Firstly, damn I missed this show, and secondly, there was no way that Admiral Adama was actually going to fire that Nuclear weapon.

Naturally, it didn’t take a rocket scientist (or is it a Galactica engineer?) to guess that last bit, but leave it to the the BSG writers to constantly surprise me. Helo killing his Cylon wife Sharon so that she could download herself to the Cylon base ship and save her child — I didn’t see that coming. In fact, having been away from the show for almost two months, It took me a minute or two to realize what exactly happened. After Helo pulled the trigger shooting his wife, I was like “Oh wait, that’s okay, she’s a Cylon!.”

Continuing with the “Holy Frack!” theme was the realization that Kara Thrace (aka. Starbuck) may be a Cylon? One of the final five? Destined to save humanity?! Seriously I have no idea, but I can’t wait to find out. Question for the readers: Did we actually see that painting in Starbuck’s apartment back on Caprica a few seasons back? Did the writers really have this story planned two years ago. I really don’t remember, but if they did — that is seriously impressive.

On a sad note, last night marked the final episode for Cylon D’Anna. While we all saw this coming (mainly because actress Lucy Lawless was only contracted for half a season!) its a shame to know that the D’Anna Cylon model will be spending eternity in a freezer. Loved Brother Cavil’s final line, “Your model is fundamentally flawed.” Any guesses until how many hours it takes for the t-shirt to show up on Cafepress?

Overall, a fantastic episode with enough twists and turns to provide for a phenomenal second half of the season. I personally can’t wait to see the race to find earth, the trail of Baltar and of course, the resolution of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA 90210 — who will Kara choose, Lee or Anders. What do you think the future holds for the season?

I hope Lucy comes back again =/ The chances are slim but one can still hope.
