Bionic Woman - What'd You Think?

Last night, the David Eick-produced show, Bionic Woman, premiered. It's got several Battlestar alums in it - Katie Sackhoff, Mark Sheppard and Aaron Douglass. Like Battlestar, it's a remake of an older Science Fiction show.

Did anyone catch it? What'd you think?

I wasn't overly impressed. I hoped it would be a new inspiring re-imaging like BSG.

It didn't hit me the same way that Battlestar did - I came away from the miniseries amazed. This one, I suspect, will take a little longer to take off and get going.

Unfortunently, with shows like Heroes and the awful (and thankfully cancelled) Painkiller Jane, it's not quite as original...

I also was not really impressed and had been eagerly anticipating the premiere for weeks (friends of mine had downloaded it beforehand but I wanted to wait for the official debut).

But I guess I had built it up in my own mind like BSG's debut four years ago. My mistake. I hope it takes off and grows on me and other viewers but it doesn't look promising right now. I hope I'm wrong again.
