Battlestar Galactica: 109: Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down

A paticularly funny episode of Battlestar Galactica tonight. In it, Roslin has become increasingly suspicious of Adama, feeling that he's been acting strangely. Now that the Cylon Detector is up and running, both her and Adama want the other one tested, and Adama ends up being tested. Baltar is going crazy because each sample takes eleven hours, and there's just under fifty thousand people left. Six tells him that it would take 61 years to test them all. Adama, in the mean time, vanishes in a Raptor, right when a Cylon raider comes into the fleet and starts toying with the Galactica. Adama returns with a surprise: Col. Tigh's Wife. This brings several problems. she's a drunk and flirts and pretty much annoys everyone else on the ship, except for Tigh. She acted fairly innappropriately with Lee and Adama. To top it off, tensions begin to brew between Adama and Roslin as the truth comes out that she was spying on him through Billy and that she suspected that he was a Cylon. He also found that Baltar cancelled the test twice on the president's orders. Ellen's test is finally finished and Baltar announces that she's not a Cylon, although Six says that it was interesting that everyone passed these days...
I must say, this episode was pretty interesting. I don't think that it was the best, but it's definently a funny one.
First, the CGI is still great, with some pretty cool space battles, which I wasn't expecting. There was some good shots, and I'm just blown away once again by the geniuses at Zoic. They deserve some awards for their work this season.

Helo's storyline is also getting interesting, with him and Sharon on the run. This is going places.

Humorwise, this episode was sidesplitting at times. Tigh's wife is a bitch, but she does get them into some funny situations, like at the dinner table with Lee- his look of terror was priceless. Starbuck walking in on Baltar and the argument between Tigh, Adama and Roslin all had some great moments. But I think that the best one was the line: She brought out the worst in him? Followed by complete silence of the group.

Seriousness in this episode, there was some pretty interesting things. The Cylon Raider toying with the fleet, for example, was paticularly cool, and it showed an interesting battle tactic, jumping around the fleet to evade presuit. The small line with Roslin and Adama's tension ratcheting up a bit was also interesting, and I'm sure it didn't help relations there. Finally, Baltar's Cylon detector is up and running, but when the hell is he going to tell people that he's finding Cylons?

One major thing though- there's supposed to be an 11 hour time for each blood sample. How did he get Boomer's so fast last episode?

Overall, a pretty good episode, with humor, action and a warning in the beginning to prevent kids to watch.
